Meet Our Sitters

Dawn

Hi! My name is Dawn. I have been a pet sitter with Paws for Comfort since 2017. I have a bachelor degree in Veterinary Technology from Mt. Ida College in Massachusetts. I have worked in the animal world for over 30 years. I was the head vet tech at Roger Williams Park Zoo in Rhode Island and at Tufts University Wildlife Clinic in Massachusetts for several years. I am a Master Falconer and Wildlife rehabilitator. In my free time I enjoy kayaking, reading, and working with my birds. I share my home with my husband, 4 cats, a beagle, 4 Harris Hawks, a goshawk and a steppe eagle.

Kristine

My name is Kristine Campbell and I have been with Paws for Comfort since 2021. I was looking for some extra income doing something I love - spending time with animals! I live in Cabot with my husband and three cats - Spaz, Bella and Penny. I also take care of several stray cats on our property and I have spayed five of them. I work at an elementary school as a Paraeducator and I have a BS in Psychology from SRU. I have two grown children that both live in Pittsburgh. A fun fact about me is I enjoy cooking and trying new recipes.

Michele

My name is Michele and I have been with Paws for Comfort since 2015 in the role of a Pet Sitter/Administrative Assistant. I graduated from LaRoche Collège with a Masters of Science Degree in Human Resource Management. After retiring from the Corporate World, I wanted to do something fun. Pet Sitting has given me the opportunity to meet new pets and the administrative part of the job keeps me mentally engaged. I have two miniature schnauzers, Daisy (black and white dog) and CoCo (all black dog). CoCo joined our family in July 2024. They both enjoy long walks.

Jim

My name is Jim. I started to work for Paws for Comfort in 2021. I love dogs and own an adopted Pit-Lab Mix, named Artemis. I work for Doordash part time. I enjoy Hiking, bike riding and playing Pickleball.

Carole

My name is Carole and I have been with Paws for Comfort since 2016.  I have a degree in Special Education and Elementary Education from Slippery Rock University. I worked as a special education teacher. I enjoy a non traditional job.

Marion

I am Marion and I have been with Paws for Comfort since 2022. Before this I worked for 40 years at Armstrong Cable, retiring as the supervisor of the billing department. During that time I also had my own pet-sitting business for several years in the 90s, and I did volunteer work for several animal groups. I was instrumental in bringing in the wolves from Mission:Wolf at BC3 for an educational program for the community, have taken in several stray/homeless dogs and for the past 20+ years. I have provided food, shelter, vet care and love to cats who have found their way to my home, many of whom have special needs.
Ever since I was young I knew my purpose in life was to take care of animals. That’s what keeps me going and makes me happy.

Cheryl

Hi my name is Cheryl and I've been with Paws for Comfort since 2024. I retired in 2020 from a career in ophthalmology having worked for several eye doctors. I had my first pet when I was four, a kitty then I added to the menagerie - a dog, a pony, a rooster, a crow, a raccoon, and a horse. Most of them rescued, rehabilitated and re-homed. I love taking care of all animals. In my spare time I spend time with my grandson taking him on "adventures".
